Anchorage Pagan Pride Inc.
Charities

National Pagan Pride Project requires that each Local Coordinator have at least one charity drive. This is done to help strengthen Pagan ties in the community, it also allows Pagans to further dispel myths and educate the community about Pagan religions.

Pagan Pride Days are usually held during the Autumn Equinox, which is most commonly known as Thanksgiving. We are using this time to give thanks to our deities for our bountiful harvests, and what better way to say thank you than to take a part of our harvest and help others.

Please help us help the charities listed below, even if you don’t want to go through APP’s charity drive, you can still help by donating something useful to the charity of your choice.

Thank You!

Starter Kits
Domestic violence survivors often come to the shelter with only their most personal items. As they transition into an apartment, families need help with furnishings. Items needed include:
•Cleaning products
•Paper products
•Towels
•Small pots & pans
•Utensils
•And more...

Here’s a great idea for your group or club: Create a STARTER KIT:
A Starter Kit can be many things. Fill a
plastic tub with all sorts of household items that anyone would need when they move into a new place. The tub can be large or small and should have a lid that closes. The tub will go to the survivor and they can use it for storage, etc.

AWAIC is always looking for people who have a special skill or talent
to help us with various projects
around the shelter (i.e. construction,
painting, bike repair, organizational
skills, grounds keeping, If you know
someone who might be able to help,
contact Jill at 743-5704 or email
jill_f@awaic.org

Imagine a STARTER KIT !
Things to include might be: paper towels, light bulbs, a flashlight, dish soap, laundry soap & supplies, personal care items, screwdriver, hammer, bar soap, sponges,
scrub brushes, small broom & dustpan, sauce pan, fry pan, can opener, plastic drinking cups, pot holders, towels, shower curtain and rings, dish set, tableware.

Consider picking a theme like the bathroom or kitchen or bedroom. (Please avoid breakable or perishable items.)
